The branding was for a conceptual gin company in Ontario. The company’s distilling process is a seed to glass product so I wanted to create a wordmark that felt connected from start to finish.
I made a cocktail and staged a product shoot with a gin bottle and some merchandise. I took several photos of the gin bottle and added a few extra items that could be used as merchandise.
In post production, I colour corrected and removed the existing bottle label, then replaced it with my own. I wanted to make sure it looked as realistic as possible so I spent time masking and blurring the edges to mimic the depth of field in the photo. I did the same for the lid and seal, then added some subtle embossing for depth.
